This year has been a rather difficult one for many largely due to the coronavirus. However, the news of a new baby was enough to light up a room. This year, some of our favorite Black celebrities became first-time moms and dads and others added to their already beautiful families.
The one that tugged at our hearts was the birth of Olympia Lightning, daughter of ‘the fastest man alive’ Usain Bolt and his longtime partner Kasi Bennett.
The first time dad tweeted a photo of his daughter on July 7 with the baby’s name and of course a lightning bolt emoji.
