In recent times, many businesses are taking advantage of social media to market and grow their business as well as win new customers. Gabrielle Allen is one such entrepreneur who is using social media to build her business.

Allen is a hairstylist from New Orleans. She has reportedly built a six-figure salon business leveraging her over 100,000 followers on Instagram. According to Black News, she is even teaching others in her profession how to build instant clients through social media. She reportedly has over 270,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

She teaches her followers and those in her profession how to grow their followers organically, attract clients they want, create social media content, and take more appealing photos.

Allen has been using social media to share her natural hair care journey since 2009 and subsequently started a blog known as StrawberriCurls to cater to the needs of natural-haired women globally. Her social media pages and her blog propelled her to start her own salon called Shades Studio in New Orleans.

“I love hair. Social media has played a huge part in my success and growth as a businesswoman, stylist, and influencer,” she said. “The beauty and hair care industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. There’s room for us all! Through my classes, my goal is to help other industry professionals elevate their profile and scale their businesses in ways they could not have imagined doing on their own.”

Besides her salon, she is also the founder of Shades Studio Education, which she uses to teach other professionals to reach their income goals and improve their skills behind the chair. Allen has been a hairstylist for five years but reached a six-figure status in just two years.
