Poem: God Knows Best

Children Praying

Children Praying
When the hands of grief strides our heart
And our minds seeks the warmth of a loved one gone
‘God knows best’ is all we recite

How do you bandage a broken heart?
What is the true measure of pain?
Will our souls ever heal of its scars?
How much weight does a memory carry?

Maybe we will never know
What lies on the other side of pain
But this much I know:
God knows best
