Poem: Soul Sister II

Africans

I feel the love in your silence
I feel the chord tug gently at my heart each night.
I can’t begin to tell you
How much your love has made me a better person:
To dare to dream
To reach for more

You are my muse, my friend and my therapist
I will be here for you
No matter how rough or tough things get
I will be here for you; here and here after

There’s  a place;
A place in the stars
Away from the world’s prying eyes
Here, we will make our dreams come through
Thank you for being my Queen.
