Keke Palmer’s ex Darius Jackson recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent his his frustration over their child custody battle and also advise men to get married before having kids.

Jackson and Palmer’s child custody battle started after the Akeelah and the Bee actress accused her ex-boyfriend of physically and emotionally abusing her on multiple occasions, Face2Face Africa previously reported. Palmer, 30, was ultimately granted a temporary restraining order against Jackson as well as temporary sole custody of their son Leodis.

It, however, appears Jackson has issues with the current arrangement as he shared the challenges he faces when it comes to seeing his son, Bossip reported.

“When I tell you that they make men go thru hoops when it comes to seeing their own kids,” the fitness instructor shared on X. “Then they have the audacity to throw the fatherless home statistic at your face. Let alone, make you feel honored to get any type of time w/ your own child.”

Jackson then said that he feels for “the dads that gave up when it came to custody”, adding that the experience is “mentally, emotionally & physically draining. You’ll lose yourself.”

“My spirit is too strong to give up. But I totally understand. I have pondered it. Thank God I have an amazing circle,” he shared. Jackson also emphasized the importance of adhering to the words of the Bible and advised men to wait until marriage before having any kids.

“For those who don’t have kids & this is something that I will emphasize to my son. Wait til marriage & make sure God is the center of your relationship,” he shared, per Bossip. “There’s a rule book that’s been given to us thousands of years ago. Best to follow it. Cause everything else leads to chaos.”

The temporary restraining order Palmer filed against Jackson was extended for six months after both parties agreed to postpone their January 2024 hearing, Page Six reported. The restraining order, which was granted to Palmer in November 2023, will expire on July 16 – the new date for the former couple’s court hearing.
