According to Entertainment Tonight, Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen have parted ways after dating for nearly two years. This report comes after the pair rekindled their romance after briefly breaking up in February, Face2Face Africa reported at the time.
“Larsa realized this relationship is just not the one for her after spending some more time apart, filming a new show,” a source told the news outlet. “She wants to move on and focus on improving her life. They simply want different things out of life.”
The source also said Marcus, 33, and Larsa, 49, parted ways on amicable terms, adding that the pair could later have a friendly relationship. “Larsa wants more out of her partner, someone who is motivated like her,” the source said.
Marcus’ father, Michael Jordan, and Larsa’s ex-husband, Scottie Pippen, were former teammates. Face2Face Africa last year also reported that the NBA legend stated he wasn’t in favor of his son being romantically involved with the 49-year-old.
Jordan, 61, was asked about his son’s girlfriend as he was entering a car after having dinner in Paris, TMZ reported. In the video, a photographer is heard asking the former Chicago Bulls player if he approves of his son’s relationship with the Real Housewives of Miami star. Jordan initially laughs in response to the question before saying “No!” after the question is repeated.
The former professional basketball player and billionaire businessman also appeared to shake his head after he was asked the same question the third time.
Marcus’ father and Pippen were teammates with the Chicago Bulls. Though they won multiple championships for the basketball franchise, their relationship appears to have gone downhill after Pippen registered his displeasure over how he was portrayed in Jordan’s “The Last Dance” Netflix-ESPN documentary. He also criticized Jordan in his “Unguarded” memoir.
