Get to know Myrol Frazier and his wife, Kesha. They are behind two Jeremiah’s Italian Ice franchises in South Carolina, specifically in the cities of Greenville and Simpsonville. Myrol and Kesha opened their first location in 2022 in Greenville, located at 2 Ketron Court, and the second location in Simpsonville in April 2024.

The move makes them the first African Americans to open a franchise location in South Carolina. As per Black Business, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice features authentic Italian Ice, creamy soft ice cream, and gelati in a vibrant, fun atmosphere. In the frozen dessert category, it serves a variety of tasty flavors, including sugar-free options and seasonal flavors, and will soon offer catering services and special “pup cups” for canine companions, the platform reported in June.

The establishment of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is in fulfillment of Kesha’s long-held dreams. She had always wanted to be a business owner, but she was unsure of the type of business to venture into.

However, a family friend introduced them to Jeremiah’s brand. They spent a day at his location and experienced the day-to-day operations. They were particularly moved by the lively branding to the delicious product flavors.

They saw huge potential in bringing the brand back home with them and went on to open the doors of the first-ever Jeremiah’s in South Carolina.

Joseph’s Italian Ice was founded in 1988 by Jeremy Litwack. In 2019, they launched a franchise program with hundreds of stores expanding nationwide and recently in NC.

“Greenville is a natural destination for Jeremiah’s Italian Ice,” Litwack said in 2022 ahead of the brand’s newest location in Greenville. “The beautiful city and warm-hearted members of the community make it a perfect home for our brand.”
