Shaboozey can’t stop thanking Beyoncé. He expressed his gratitude once again to the Queen of the BeyHive during his acceptance speech at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.

The Nigerian-American singer-songwriter offered heartfelt thanks to Beyoncé after winning the New Artist and New Artist Song of 2024 awards for “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

Speaking at the event, he said: “I prepared a little something. I want to read it to you because it comes from the bottom of my heart. First off, thank you to People’s Choice, the fans, and listeners for this award. I’m so honored and extremely humbled. I never would have thought in a million years that I’d be up here at the Grand Ole Opry accepting something like this. It’s a dream come true.”

After thanking his management, friends, and family, Shaboozey showed his appreciation for Beyoncé, saying: “Beyoncé, you’re amazing. Yeah!” The crowd cheered in response.

Shaboozey has made it a point to thank Beyoncé at every opportunity. His gratitude stems from his rise to prominence after being featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, where he contributed to standout tracks like “Spaghetti” and “Sweet Honey Buckiin’.”

Before the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards (PCCA), held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 26, the rising star spoke highly of Beyoncé in a recent red-carpet interview with ET.

He said, “I feel like with awards, it’s really important that, as an artist, you know, Beyoncé puts everything she has into her music. That can be an exhausting process in itself. So, if you’re doing that, putting everything you have into it with intentionality and connecting with people, these awards—while fun and a chance to see your friends—are just a bonus. But, you know, her music changed my life and so many other people’s lives, and I think that’s what really matters.”

Though Shaboozey continues to praise Beyoncé, her fanbase, the BeyHive, is frustrated by her lack of awards despite receiving 17 nominations for Cowboy Carter. Fans took to social media to express their disappointment in both the PCCA and the earlier snubs at the Country Music Awards this September.
