It seems Rihanna’s two boys have been troubling her. The Barbadian singer and businesswoman shared a humorous take on motherhood in a recent social media post.
In a video posted on X, the 36-year-old mother of two gave a glimpse into what life is like raising boys.
Rihanna captioned the video, calling being a “boy mom” an Olympic sport. The clip features her son, RZA, struggling to escape his playpen. After several attempts, he finally manages to get out and grab a drink, all while his mother films the moment.
Sharing the video on social media, the superstar wrote: “Being a boy mom is an Olympic sport ♀️♀️.”
Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky, share two sons—RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, who was born on August 1, 2023.
While she isn’t done expanding her family, Rihanna has expressed her hopes for a daughter. In an April interview with Interview Magazine, she said, “I don’t know what God has in store, but I’d go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”

Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky shared with Billboard in a September cover story that he hopes RZA and Riot can have normal childhoods despite their famous parents.
“Man, let me show you little RZA last night, bro. Look, this is my little man right here,” he said, referencing a video of RZA playing in SoHo. “They’re still human. They’re human beings.”
He added with a laugh, “This was him last night, walking to the corner store.”
Rihanna’s video of RZA trying to escape his playpen has sparked a lot of reactions on social media.
One fan commented, “Rihanna is right. You’re lucky you don’t have identical twin boys—they turn their room into a party!”
Another follower agreed with the singer, saying, “Being the mother of a boy is truly an Olympic-level challenge ????❤️.”
One fan praised Rihanna, writing, “The strength, patience, and love you bring to motherhood deserves a gold medal every day ????????????. Raising boys is no joke, but you’re rocking it ❤.”
