Jayden Daniels, the standout quarterback for the Washington Commanders, made one of his fans smile amid his remarkable rookie season. Along with the other rookies, the 24-year-old recently visited patients at the Children’s Hospital Center.

There, he encountered Sarah Addison, a Commanders fan undergoing treatment for myeloid leukemia. According to Daniels, the two hit it off right away.

He said in an Instagram video, “She was super excited to see me and gave me a hug. We kind of hit it off from there.”

On the other hand, Addison acknowledged that she is a great Daniels fan, and the visit was just what she needed to get through the holidays.

She recounted, “I was screaming before he got through the door. I forgot I was in the hospital room. I forgot I had cancer. It was a dream come true.”

However, there were still more surprises to come. Six days after the hospital visit, Daniels gave Addison field passes and tickets to the Commanders’ game versus the Atlanta Falcons, fulfilling her Christmas wish to attend a game.

Daniels welcomed her and her family to the sidelines upon her arrival, gave her an autographed jersey, and offered some encouragement.

According to Addison, it was one of the greatest presents she had ever gotten. She went on to say that she considers Daniels the greatest of all time.

“When you in the hospital, it’s not a lot of things that you can do. It’s not a lot of things you can experience…He’s the GOAT. He’s the GOAT for making my dream come true,” said Addison.

However, Daniels described the act as nothing short of inspiring.

“Obviously, what she is fighting through right now, you never want to see anybody go through that. You never know. It can make her whole year. It can give her motivation to keep fighting through her treatments,” said Daniels.

According to BOTWC, Daniels is doing very well as a rookie, helping the team win its first playoff game in 20 years.

Until this season, no rookie quarterback in NFL history has ever led his club to a game with no turnovers or punts, according to 247 Sports. Daniels has accomplished this three times, most recently in the Wild Card round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
