One of the highlights of Sunday night’s NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets was when Steph Curry and Ime Udoka got into a heated argument during halftime.
Videos shared on social media showed the 37-year-old NBA champion and the Rockets’ head coach trading words before making their way to the locker room. And though the media tried to ascertain what caused the verbal altercation after the game, the pair responded like professionals should.
“I was talking to my team about the physicality,” Udoka, 47, explained when he was asked about the incident with Curry, per Marca. “This is the type of game we like. This is who we are. He said something. I said something. A little friendly banter.”

Curry, on the other hand, opted to provide a funny answer and jokingly said their spat had something to do with his wife. “He made a reservation to International Smoke [his wife Ayesha Curry’s restaurant] and then he canceled it, and so I was kinda upset with him,” the future Hall of Famer told reporters. “We went back and forth on that.”
Curry’s funny response got his teammate Draymond Green bursting into laughter before the former also joined him. Sunday night’s game ended with the Rockets emerging victorious. Curry also had a very quiet night as he clocked just three points, two rebounds, and eight assists.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Curry has been making some major moves outside his professional basketball career. His alma mater Davidson College recently announced that he had taken up an administrative role at the school.
Davidson officials told ESPN that Curry will serve as an assistant general manager for its basketball programs. The 37-year-old taking up the role now makes him the first active player in U.S. major professional sports to land an administrative job with an NCAA team.
Curry as the assistant general manager for basketball programs will use the experience gained from his college and professional career to give insight to Davidson’s men’s and women’s teams.
Curry and general manager Austin Buntz will collaborate as he discharges his duties. Buntz was previously part of the Under Armour global sports marketing team, while Curry has a long-term deal with the American sportswear company.
Davidson also announced that an eight-figure fund for its men’s and women’s teams will be set up by Curry as well as his wife Ayesha Curry, ESPN reported. The other notable individuals involved in the setting up of the fund include Davidson alumni Don, Matt, and Erica Berman.
