Bronny James has attained an incredible feat after tying the great Michael Jordan’s regular-season three-point count as a first-year player.
The Los Angeles Lakers faced the second-seeded Houston Rockets in their penultimate game on Saturday, and James made sure to play his best part in it.
Houston, who have secured their place in the playoffs, sat their top players and dropped to a 52-29 record.

The Lakers handed their deep bench some minutes in the 140-109 blowout, and in four minutes on the hardwood, Bronny James grabbed his ninth three-pointer this season, tying the great Michael Jordan who attained a similar feat in 1984/85 in his first campaign.
James had the opportunity to outshoot Jordan in the season finale against Portland, yet couldn’t as he went 0-2 from three in 38 minutes with the Lakers ending their regular season in a 109-81 loss.
LeBron’s son completed his first term with 62 points, 18 rebounds and 22 assists in 27 matches, with one crucial start for the Lakers.
Although Bronny has tied Jordan’s three-point count, his season is far from Jordan’s rookie campaign in terms of the records set and accolades won.
The NBA Hall of Famer averaged 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists to finish with 2,313 points.
Michael Jordan was also awarded the Rookie of the Year award and was among the All-NBA second team after his first season.
Also, the former Chicago Bulls man went on to win six titles with a perfect NBA Finals record and became one of the greatest players in basketball.
The Los Angeles Lakers can keep their heads up although they lost to Portland, as they finished with a 50-32 record and secured the third-seed in the Western Conference.
