Teria Mullin, CRNA, FNP-C, overcame early college struggles to found First Rate Infusion & Wellness, a top-rated, Black-owned wellness clinic in Mesquite, Texas. It is the city’s only clinic offering innovative ketamine therapy for mental health and chronic pain.
The clinic helps men and women achieve optimal health through various advanced services. These services include IV hydration, specialized ketamine therapy, personalized vitamin therapy, weight management, and other holistic wellness programs, according to Black Business.
Mullin, known as The Queen of Wellness, is a highly respected expert in Mesquite. She provides comprehensive care, deeply rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and extensive experience. Her commitment is to empower individuals with accurate, accessible information.
She contributes to public education with a free PDF titled, “The 7 Biggest Lies You’ve Been Told About Ketamine Therapy.” This resource aims to correct the widespread misinformation about this powerful treatment, specifically focusing on increasing accurate knowledge within the Black community.

This guide explains ketamine’s use for severe depression. It highlights how it works, its overlooked benefits (especially for men), and its safety, correcting common myths. The resource reviews the science, identifies who is a good fit, and encourages people with chronic depression or PTSD to consider it.
Her goal is to improve access, education, and representation so that those who need it most get accurate information.
Beyond her professional success, Mullin’s personal journey shows incredible strength and determination. As a young woman, she faced the huge challenge of balancing college and new motherhood. Despite this immense workload, she refused to let her circumstances limit her. When a professor, seeing her struggle, suggested she quit, Teria’s resolve hardened.
Supported by her family’s love, she found her inner strength, overcame the enormous obstacles, and achieved her goal, becoming the highly successful and respected clinic owner she is today.
The mompreneur established First Rate Infusion & Wellness to redefine accessible and compassionate healthcare for everyone, men and women alike. She specifically created the center because she recognized that men, particularly Black men, are often overlooked in broader wellness discussions.
Many in this demographic are overworked, underserved, and grappling with unaddressed issues such as depression, anxiety, fatigue, trauma, or burnout.
She told Business Insider, “Employee fatigue continues to affect multiple industries. This initiative gives companies a practical way to address dehydration, stress, and burnout while helping employees maintain energy, mental clarity, and physical recovery during demanding work schedules.”
The clinic is founded on a balanced, inclusive approach, making it a pillar of the practice. It specifically supports men dealing with challenges such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and chronic stress.
It also serves professionals with demanding schedules, including truck drivers, healthcare workers, police officers, warehouse employees, airline staff, and entrepreneurs.
The clinic welcomes individuals who have historically felt excluded from traditional wellness spaces, as well as women who are balancing the demands of work, family, and personal health.
This inclusive philosophy is central to a journey that went “From Being Told to Quit… to Leading a Wellness Movement.”
Despite the early lack of support, Teria achieved advanced credentials as both a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She also established First Rate Infusion & Wellness, a practice designed to offer the listening, supportive, and empowering environment she found lacking in her own past.
Services provided by Teria and her team at First Rate Infusion & Wellness include: IV Hydration & Vitamin Drips, Ketamine Therapy (for Depression and PTSD), Weight Management Programs, Vitamin Therapy, Fatigue Recovery (especially for overworked professionals), and Corporate On-Site Wellness Services.
