The search for a perfect photo could be dangerous, enough cases have proven.
The most recent is a case in Kenya where a Chinese tourist perished while taking photos at the edge of Lake Naivasha.
According to Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS), Chuang Hun was in the company of a friend as they toured the lake. He, however, moved too close to the hippo, which turned against him, biting him on the chest.
.@kwskenya is sad to announce the death of a #Chinese tourist who was attacked by a #hippo while taking pictures on the shores of Lake Naivasha yesterday evening. His colleague survived with minor bruises and was treated at #Naivasha District Hospital. We are tracking the hippo

David Kilo, the chairman of Lake Naivasha Boat Owners Association said hippo attacks have been on the rise over the increase of the lake’s water levels.
“The hippo that attacked the Chinese was looking for pasture near the hotel. This is not the first time,” he said.
In a separate incident, a fisherman was also bitten by a hippo a short distance from the first incident. The fisherman had moved too close to a herd of hippos resting and they attacked him. Just like the Chinese tourist, he was also bitten in the chest.
Hippos are responsible for more human fatalities in Africa than any other large animal.
