Ugandan beauty queen,
The 22-year-old computer science student arrived in Entebbe on Wednesday and first paid a courtesy call on the Ugandan president at the State House where he expressed concern about her hair.
“Abenakyo is indeed a tall, beautiful Musoga girl. My only concern is that she was wearing Indian hair,” Museveni said in a tweet after her visit.
“I have encouraged her to keep her natural, African hair. We must show African beauty in its natural form,” he added.
This criticism after her sterling performance on the global Miss World stage was not taken lightly by fans who thought the president had no right to make such pronouncements during celebrations.
“I wish u know how this young lady troubled to reach China where she represented our country without
“M7 Sir! From a soldier to a Famer now your an advisor of hair
“We celebrate victory…. We don’t celebrate process,” replies another Twitter user, while others supported the president: “I wish she had natural hair she would have been no1 in the whole world but congrats
Others made fun of the whole situation that stoked another decade-old debate on women’s hair and the love for Brazilian, Indian and synthetic weaves among African women.

But why aren’t you keeping your natural hair Mr. President so that you can as well promote the natural African hair and be exemplary. Gonna are the days you used to keep the “Afro” I miss that on you Mr. President

I agree with you mr. president on that, she needs to keep her natural hair to depict the real African beauty. After all she’s already a winner.

On this Mr President, I, all the way from Tanzania ?? I second you! Great point there. They may not like it, but you have said it the way it is!

Mr. President, with all due respect, in a moment of national pride, you invoked her tribe?! ??? Couldn’t you just say she’s a beautiful Ugandan girl? The only way to stamp out tribalism and nepotism is for us to put country before tribe.

Mr. President you’re indeed a strong, visionary African Dictator. My only concern is why you arw wearing European costumes, we must show Africanism in our mode of dressing by covering ourselves on hides & skins. Or walk sichula.
