Beasts of No Nation (2015)

This Netflix original drama is set in an ambiguous war-torn West African country. Based on a book by the same written by Uzodinma Iweala, Agu, the protagonist, is living a fairly ordinary life until he is forced to fight in the war as a child soldier. The audience gets to see this boy like any child soldier being robbed offhis innocence, and his struggle to come to terms with post-war trauma.
