Tintenpalast
Formerly the headquarters for German South West Africa, the Tintenpalast, which means Ink Palace, is now the official building for the Namibian parliament. It is surrounded by gardens which were laid during 1930s, consisting of proper bowling green and olive grove.
The name of the building, Ink Palace, is significant of the bureaucracy of government, in honor of all the ink that is spent on excessive paperwork in the building.
One other significant thing about this building is the fact that local materials were used in constructing it.
