Proverbs on determination

An elephant does not die from one broken rib- Tsonga

This means one set back does not mean it’s the end.

The Swahili have a proverb with a similar meaning: If the wooden spoon breaks it is not the end of cooking.

In Rwanda, the saying goes:   If you are building a house and a nail breaks, do you stop building or do you change the nail?
