2025 Africa Arts Entertainments Awards: Nigerian Artistes Dominate List Of Winners

Nigerian superstars won multiple categories at the recent AAEA Music Awards. 

The Nairobi-based award ceremony awarded winners were dominated by Nigerian musicians, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Tems, Darkoo, Ayra Starr, and others

This was announced by the Africa Arts Entertainments Awards official page.

Wizkid’s ‘Piece of My Heart’ featuring US singer Brent Faiyaz won the Best Afro-R&B, while Davido and American singer Chris Brown won the Best Global Collaboration award for their song Hmm.

Asake’s song ‘MMS’ featuring Wizkid emerged the Best Afro-Native award.

British-Nigerian singer, Darkoo, won the award for the Best Diasporan Act with her hit single ‘Favourite Girl’ whose remix features Rema.

Burna Boy was named the Overall Male Artist in Africa, while Tyla won Overall Female Artiste of the year and Best Female Artiste, Southern Africa.

Tems was named Best Global African Female Artiste. OdumoduBlvck won the Best Rapper in West Africa award.

Street pop-star Seyi Vibez emerged Best Male Artist, West Africa, while Ayra Starr won the Best Female Artiste, West Africa award.

It is notable to realise that Africa Arts Entertainments Awards, AAEA, recognises the achievements of music artists across the African continent.
