These highly talented and revolutionary musicians sadly passed away in their prime in deaths that could have possibly been avoided. Throughout their careers, however, they shone in their respective genres and dared to break the status quo which they did.
Besides using music as a tool to entertain, they also used it as a platform to address political and societal issues, thus becoming the voice of the people.
Though they may be gone, the messages most of them shared in their songs have stood the test of time.
