Martha Karua

Martha Karua is a Kenyan politician who has been in the game since she was 24. She is now 60.

Karua has advocated for the rights of those affected during the Moi era by representing them pro-bono in court.

Karua has been instrumental in accelerating water reform in her native land, has spoken out about gender issues.

She even publicly argued with the Minister of Agriculture William Ruto in 2009 in the presence of the President of Kenya.

Karua was a contender in the 2017 Presidential elections but lost to Anne Waiguru.
