5 black women who exemplify the true meaning of ‘ride or die’

Beyonce…The Hollywood Unlocked

Beyoncé

Beyoncé is a word that is more than a name. It is synonymous with a powerful force that is recognized globally regardless of whether you are a fan of hers or not.

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is a 22 Grammy winner, a former member of one of the world’s best-selling girl groups in history, has sold in a surplus of 100 million records globally and one of the world’s best-selling music artists.

With many accolades under her belt, it is easy to dismiss the fact that she like all of us, has faced many challenges in her life.

Beyoncé revealed in the August issue of Vogue the many disappoints she has overcome – including her husband Jay-Z’s infidelity.

She said, “I come from a lineage of broken male-female relationships, abuse of power, and mistrust. Only when I saw that clearly was I able to resolve those conflicts in my own relationship. Connecting to the past and knowing our history makes us both bruised and beautiful.”

Beyoncé concluded, “I pray that I am able to break the generational curses in my family and that my children will have less complicated lives.”

Despite the difficulties, Beyoncé is determined to keep her family together.
