George Seymour Gabb – sculptor, artist, playwright, poet

Gabb is one of the most prominent sculptors in Belize. Born in Belize City, he was educated until age 13 when he pursued his passion for the art. Prominent for creating “The Sleeping Giant”, a version of which is on the Belize $100 currency note, he was also engaged in performing and writing poetry and plays.

He was awarded an M.B.E in 1974 for his services by the British Empire.
