The Divas – Mozambique

Founded in 2016, the all-female Mozambican group aims at empowering young school girls in disadvantaged communities by using music as an avenue to earn a living.

The group is a product of the Music Crossroads Academy, a non-profit organisation aimed at helping young people to have their voices heard. Through this academy, The Divas has been able to champion gender equality in the music industry. The group is made up of Kaluza Banda, Ingrid Dyrnes, Amelia Felizarda, Amelia Mondlane and Nina July.
