When the 25 years old ’30 billion for the account’ coroner revealed his bank account balance, many of us were stunned. But perhaps we shouldn’t be. In addition to a deal with international Sony records and a stream of hit after hit, the young Afrobeats star has a record label to which he recently signed another hit artist, Mayorkun. Davido also has many other business ventures, including a N30 million endorsement deals from MTN, another from Guinness, and a recent campaign with Axe.
While many Africans shy away from money, Nigerian artists boldly claim stake to it and do what they can to get it.
