American Idol Alum Fantasia Barrino has had a whirlwind of a career.
The singer battled feelings of loneliness, hurt and mistrust over the years and had not properly dealt with it. Being a young single mother who didn’t finish her education only complicated matters.
In 2010, Fantasia attempted to take her own life by overdosing on aspirin and sleeping pills.
“I think I was just overloaded with everything, with carrying six years of so much,” “I always take a licking and keep on ticking…it just became heavy for me to the point that I just wanted to be away from the noise,” Fantasia explained on Good Morning America.
Fantasia received help from a life coach and eventually thrived.
She is now married, still enjoying a fruitful musical career and seems content.
