The Lari Massacre
March 26, 1953, marked the day when 97 troops of Lari, Kenya were murdered by the Mau Mau.
The event was incited as propaganda and shown to journalists. Retaliatory attacks against the Mau Mau by British and African forces resulted in 400 Mau Mau people being executed.
The incident occurred the Mau Mau uprisings in Kenya from 1952 to 1964; a cause against British colonialists in then British Kenya.
