96 inmates escaped a prison in Katiola, Cote d’Ivoire on September 3, 2017.
The assailants were supporters of Coulibaly Yacouba, another prisoner who in 2016 staged a mutiny in the same prison and was killed. The prison is reported to house notorious gang members who are in control of the prison supposed to be under the control of guards.
