In September 2015, a prison break in Ngaragba caused unrest in the Central African Republic. Over 500 inmates escaped and guerrilla members looted offices of international aid organizations.
Outrage over a Muslim man’s dead body left by a Mosque sparked the violence. The prison’s security lapses and overcrowdedness is nothing to write home about.
