Wayans brothers
The brothers have been on TV and movies for decades, and there was even a time when movie and TV fans couldn’t go a week without coming across a member of the Wayans family. After their success in Fox’s sketch comedy series In Living Color, the Wayans moved from TV to film and became dominant figures in parody and gimmicky movies.
One of the brothers, Keenan Ivory Wayans directed Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2, which were co-written by and co-starred his siblings – Shawn and Marlon Wayans. The first Scary Movie topped $278 million worldwide at the box office while the second grossed $141.2 million worldwide.
Shawn and Marlon were responsible for 2004’s White Chicks and 2006’s Little Man, which earned a respectable $70 million and $58 million at the box office, respectively. The Wayans brothers are noted for other films such as Most Wanted, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, and Eddie Murphy Raw.
