South Africa

South Africa is the most unequal country in the world. That is according to a World Bank report from 2019 that profiled wealth inequality in more than 120 countries.

The wealthiest South African homes are about a whopping 1000% richer than the poorest homes.

The country has more than 50,000 millionaires and a handful of billionaires, but almost a third of the 56 million people live in poverty.
