A 53-year-old Florida man, who allegedly killed his ex-wife and her friend before heading to the home of another ex-partner and shooting her, turned himself in to authorities in the aftermath of the two separate incidents.

According to WSVN, the suspect, identified as Jeffrey Henley, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Authorities said the first shooting incident happened in the wee hours of Saturday after Henley went to a residence at Fort Lauderdale. The mother of Henley’s ex-wife told the news outlet her daughter India Crawford and her friend were in a vehicle at her home when Henley opened fire on them. Henley and India share a 6-year-old daughter.

“‘Pow, pow, pow’ in the back, ‘pow, pow, pow’ in the front, and I said, ‘Jeff, you done killed my daughter!’” Gail Crawford recalled, adding that Henley and India’s daughter rushed outside after she heard the gunfire.

“Then she said, ‘You done killed my mom! You done killed my mom!’” Gail added. “He said, ‘It’s all right, baby. You’re going to be all right.’ I said, ‘How could she be all right if you killed her momma?’” Both victims passed away.

But that wasn’t the end of Henley’s vicious rage. Police said he also made his way to the home of another ex-partner he shares a teenage daughter with. The woman, identified as Sandy, said she was in her room when their daughter came to inform her Henley was outside and wanted to see her.

“She said her daddy is in front of the door. He told me to come outside. He wanted to speak to me,” Sandy told WSVN. But after she refused to come outside, she said Henley opened fire through the door and the bullet struck her chest. There were children in the home at the time of the shooting but no one else was hurt.

In the aftermath of the shootings, Gail and India said the incidents have left the children shocked. “My daughter is not really talking right now because she’s kind of shocked, what happened, what her daddy did, ’cause she couldn’t believe it,” Sandy said.

“My granddaughter said, ‘Why did he kill my momma?’ I said, ‘Baby, I don’t know,’” Gail added. “We got back out here, he was gone.”

After Henley turned himself in later that Saturday, police said he told investigators he went to Sandy’s home after shooting India because he was sick of his second ex-partner. He appeared in court on Sunday but was denied bond.
