A$AP Rocky is keeping his lips sealed—for now.

The rapper opted out of testifying in his ongoing assault trial. He chose to let his legal team do the talking.

When the judge pressed his attorney, Joe Tacopina, for a final decision on Tuesday, Rocky officially waived his right to take the stand. Perhaps, he’s saving his words for either his next album or a courtroom victory speech, as reported by TMZ.

A$AP Rocky made a swift and stylish appearance in court on a crucial day in his assault trial. Amid the rush, an iPhone took a hit, but the rapper remained composed.

When the judge pressed him on his decision to waive his right to testify, Rocky confidently affirmed, “I do in fact,” signaling he was certain about letting his defense handle the case.

While A$AP Rocky remained silent in court this time, he was far more vocal last week.

During testimony, he advised his friend A$AP Twelvyy not to answer prosecutors’ questions about the meaning of his AWGE brand name.

If convicted, he faces up to 24 years in prison.
