Morocco has the highest number of legislators in Africa at 665 legislators in their two houses, 395 in the upper house and 270 in their lower house. The country has a population of 33 million.
The MPs have been under fire for sleeping and browsing their phones during important discussions in the house to the anger and dismay of many people they are representing.
Some have been skipping the sessions, forcing the president of the house of representatives to slash their salaries and sanction some leaders.
