Almaz Ayana (Ethiopia)
Ayana is an Ethiopian long-distance runner, participating in women’s 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m races. She set a new world record in the 10,000m race at the Rio 2016 Olympics with her personal best time of 29:17:45 minutes. The 24-year-old athlete has won two other gold medals including the 2015 World Championships in Beijing and 2014 African Championships in Morocco.
