Pierre Nkurunziza – Footballer
Current President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza is known for his passion for sports specifically football and cycling. At the age of 5, he started playing football and joined a local team while schooling. While in the University, he also played for the University team and his local team as well. Unable to take his professional playing to a higher level, Pierre became a coach of a first division club and became a physical education lecturer in the university. He created a Soccer Academy across the country and also created his own football club Helleluia FC.
