Halle Bailey and her ex, DDG together celebrated their son Halo’s first birthday with a party involving loved ones on Sunday.

The Little Mermaid star shared heartwarming photos and videos from the event on Instagram which showed her smiling and holding her baby boy.

The party was not just an event to celebrate with a ball pit, slides, balloons, and a custom Cocomelon cake, but it was a time to recall the growth of the boy over the last year.

For Bailey, it was truly a beautiful moment to witness and she emotionally sang “Happy Birthday” to Halo, fighting back her tears as she continued the lyrics.

Bailey reflected on the milestone and said: “I cried so much yesterday.”

Halle and DDG also reunited for family photos during the celebration with the pair posing alongside Halo as a family of three.

Some fans have deemed the moment as beautiful but are surprised at how fast Halo has grown in just over a year.

In October, DDG announced their breakup and revealed that they would co-parent their son moving forward.

Based on what was seen at the party, their co-parenting journey seems to be going on fine. Many will be hoping that it remains the same as the years go by for Halo’s sake.
