Problem singer Ariana Grande, has also released her first single since her last project in 2020. The melody titled Yes and? is somewhat a preview of her next studio album.

A video for the song, currently charting on iTunes in the United States, would also go public in hours, fans of the singer have said. The official audio has 1.3 million streams on YouTube so far.

The upbeat rendition has Grande singing about healing and not caring about other people’s comments.

“In case you haven’t noticed, everybody’s tired and healing from somebody or something we don’t see just right.”

“Boy come on put your lipstick on (no one can tell you nothing)…come on and walk this way through the fire (don’t care what’s on their mind)…and if you find yourself in a dark situation, just turn on your light and be like “yes, and?” she sings in the opening verse.

On the new single, Ariana worked with her longtime collaborators (Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh) with whom she’s worked on Problem, God Is a Woman, No Tears Left to Cry, Bang Bang, and others. It is, however, not clear when her 7th album will be released.

The singer’s sixth album, Positions released by Republic Records on October 30, 2020. She worked with producers including Tommy Brown, accompanied by longtime co-writers Victoria Monét and Tayla Parx.

That album said to have been inspired by her “emotional healing,” was a commercial success, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 200 in 2020 and other top charts worldwide.

A combination of R&B and pop sounds, the album focused on themes of sexual intimacy, attraction, and romantic devotion and attracted positive reviews at the time. It had guest appearances like Doja Cat, Meghan Thee Stallion, the Weeknd, and Ty Dolla Sign.
