Tristan Jackson, a teen boy behind one of the worst-ever mass shootings in Baltimore has been sentenced to ten years in prison.

Last month, he pleaded guilty to four charges including second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a crime of violence, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, and a minor in possession of a firearm, per Fox Baltimore

Tristan Jackson was sentenced to 45 years in jail, with all but 10 years suspended as part of a plea deal, and will be eligible for parole after he serves the first five years.

Initially, the state had sought a 50-year sentence suspended to 12 years.

18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzalez and 20-year-old Kylis Fagbemi were killed when gunfire erupted at the party on July 2, 2023.

Many people around got injured, including 15 minors, some of whom were as young as 13.

Jackson is a part of five juveniles who were charged in relation to the mass shooting, yet none of the suspects are facing murder charges.

20-year-old Aaron Brown previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder for his involvement in the shooting, as well as attempted first-degree murder and firearm use related to a different incident.

Brown was handed a 60-year sentence with all but 12 suspended, and three other juveniles also pleaded guilty but were offered plea deals last May.

For an event that day called ‘Brooklyn Day’ were hundreds of people in the area.

Footage showed the moment revelers fled the block party in the Maryland city during the early hours of the morning.
