According to Vibe, Beyonce could earn nearly $25 million to work on Disney’s film.
Beyonce, who started her acting career in 2001 with her first movie, Carmen, is estimated to be earning $60 million in 2019 for her deal with Netflix to premiere the documentary titled Homecoming on a streaming platform.
She has starred in movies such as Dream Girls, Goldmember, Cadillac Records and Xania and still a prominent name in the music industry. Beyonce will join Whoopi Goldberg, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Raven Symone and Angela Bassett as the highest black earners in Hollywood.
Over the weekend, Beyonce and Jay-Z met the British royalty at the European premiere of The Lion King. The power couple was photographed chatting on the London red carpet on Sunday.
Harry and Meghan were in attendance to represent The Royal Foundation which is in partnership with Disney for Protect the Pride, a global campaign to preserve Africa’s dwindling animal population.
Prince Harry, who spent three months in Africa in 2015 working on wildlife and community projects, will meet representatives from environmental and conservation organisations after watching the film.
The Duchess wore a black Jason Wu dress with sheer sleeves alongside white diamond Nikos Koulis earrings and a Gucci clutch. Beyonce, on her part, was seen with a custom gold Cong Tri gown with a thigh-high slit.
Disney’s The Lion King premieres in the United States on July 19, 2019.
Let’s take a look at what people are saying about this rare meet…
So a few inside shots from tonight’s #lionkingpremiere @Beyonce looked wonderful – she’s very curvaceous, which is so refreshing to see! – and was absolutely charming, which I did not expect. She seemed genuinely emotional about meeting Meghan and couldn’t stop smiling. pic.twitter.com/qXFuv5VHIj
