Entertainers are encumbered with balancing their personal and professional lives. Every move they make is heavily scrutinized by the public. The highlights and low moments of their lives are out exposed for all to see. Recently, world-renowned composer, record producer, and film producer Quincy Jones held no bars about speaking his mind.

Jones sat down with Vulture Magazine and boy did he do a lot of talking.  Jones let the cat out the bag about some iconic black entertainers that had us turning our heads twice in shock and amazement.

Jones revealed that bad boy actor Marlon Brando had sexual encounters with Richard Pryor and Margin Gaye. He stated: “Marlon Brando used to go cha-cha dancing with us. He could dance his ass off. He was the most charming motherf—–r you ever met. He’d f–k anything. Anything! He’d f–k a mailbox. James Baldwin. Richard Pryor. Marvin Gaye.”

Say Whaaat now?!

To add more fire to the shocking claim, Pryor’s widow Jennifer Lee Pryor confirmed the comedian’s bi-sexual liaison by remarking to TMZ: “It was the ’70s! Drugs were still good, especially Quaaludes. If you did enough cocaine, you’d f–k a radiator and send it flowers in the morning.” Pryor also revealed that the late comedian was candid about his sexual orientation with close friends; he also kept documentation of his affairs – which his widow plans to release sometime this year.

No one has commented to confirm or deny if soul crooner Marvin Gaye engaged in homosexual affairs.  While the singer was alive, rumors swirled around of his sexual orientation; this prompted him to change the spelling of his last name by adding an ‘e’ at the end of it. Gaye struggled with expressing his sensuality because of his religious upbringing.

Black men are often required to mask their emotions because they have to appear twice as strong. Being homosexual or bi-sexual is a taboo in the black community due to cultural and societal pressures.  It’s no wonder Pryor shared his business only with those he trusted and jokingly spoke about his sexual trysts.  Gaye struggled as well and subtly revealed his issues in his songs; though he never outwardly addressed whisperings about his sex life.

It’s fascinating to learn new facts about public figures who led very risqué lives – apparently in and out of the public eye.
