An unidentified man has been hailed as a hero after his selfless act. 80-year-old Tina Kaminski was strolling alone on Observatory Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio, when she fell on her face, sustaining a shattered rib and a bloody nose.

She was covered in blood after the March 25 incident and was left alone until a stranger showed up.

A young man in a green sedan saw the fall and stopped his car, jumping out to assist, according to home security video taken from a nearby residence.

In the video, the young man can be seen approaching the spot where Kaminski had fallen. He ran up to her side, leaving his car door wide open.

When he realized he didn’t have anything else in his car to help clean up the blood, he did the next best thing: he removed his shirt and handed it to Kaminski to help her stop the bleeding and clean up.

Amy Clair Boucher-Castro, the homeowner whose security camera caught the heartwarming incident, told WLWT5, “He didn’t take a second. He just took his shirt off and just gave it to her. It was incredible.”

The local community has since taken notice of the touching incident and expressed its admiration.

“You can also see Amy run out from her porch in the video. Other neighbors had gathered around Tina to help at that point,” WLWT 5 reported.

Boucher-Castro, impressed by the gesture, invited Kaminski and the Good Samaritan to her home to take a break.

But the young man went away in silence, never waiting to be thanked nor revealing his name.

“He saved the day. He was the hero. He’s our hometown hero. And I really hope we can find him,” Boucher-Castro said. “And if his mom finds or hears about this story, I’d really like for her to know that she raised an exceptional son who really stepped up and aided someone when they were in need.”

Meanwhile, Kaminski is healing at home and is expected to be OK. Even though the fall had broken one of her ribs, the unwavering generosity of a stranger saved her from what could have been a far more horrific ordeal.

Kaminski explained that the blood on her face came from her nostril, confirming the shattered rib injury.

However, the unexpected and sincere compassion she received from a stranger made an even greater impression.

Kaminski and Boucher-Castro now want to find the young man who assisted so they may properly thank him and let him know how much his efforts meant at that particular time.
