Living Single (1993- 1998)

Before Sex in the City, Friends and Girls there was Living Single. This show explored the nuances of friendships between women and each of their characters brought something to the screens.

It was the first time young black women played well-rounded characters on screen. Queen Latifah, Kim Coles, Kim Fields, and Erika Alexander were characters who paved way for shows like Girlfriends and Insecure.
