Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz recently caused a stir during a live edition of Yung Miami’s Caresha Please show after saying that he does not allow his lesbian daughter to come to his house with her girlfriend because he does not want her to “contaminate” her other siblings.
“She still can’t bring her situation to our house. My daughter is grown—Because I don’t want it to contaminate her others [siblings],” the Wipe Me Down rapper said in the interview, per Complex. “It’s a generation we’re raising, and I don’t want her to get too contaminated for her other six or seven sisters who look up to her. I want them to bring me grandchildren…”
The 41-year-old rapper’s comments were received with audible chatter from the audience. But he added: “If I want grandchildren the right way… that’s what I’ma stand on. If I don’t want my other little girl to look at daddy and say, ‘What’s that daddy?’ to somebody she looks up to? It’s not gonna come around. My grandfather didn’t let it, my daddy didn’t let it, and I didn’t let it.”

Following his comments, Boosie’s lesbian daughter, Iviona Hatch, took to social media to address what her father said, emphasizing that she loves her siblings. She also said she has a good relationship with them.
“I just saw that he recently did an interview with Caresha and he used the word ‘contaminate’ and put my siblings in it at that,” Iviona, who is also known as Poison Ivy, said in the video. “If you know me, I love and respect my siblings with everything in me. And they respect me and love me with everything in them.”
“When you getting on they nerves, I’m who they call,” she added. “Most of my sibling are teenagers — teenagers that you don’t want to see grow up.”
Iviona in the video also recalled the moment her father berated her after he became aware of her sexuality. “The incident that happened was in Jamaica…when you called me a gay b-word,” she said. “So if the world really knew the hurtful things you told me before and I forgave you, you wouldn’t even understand.”

Boosie’s recent comments add up to other controversial statements he has publicly made about his family. In 2020, he was scrutinized after he hopped on Instagram Live and claimed that his underage son and nephews received oral sex from an adult woman.
“I’m training these boys right, I’m training these boys right,” he said at the time. “Ask any of my nephews, ask any of them, ask my son. Yeah, when they was 12, 13 they got head. Yeah, that’s how it’s supposed to be.”
“Hell yeah I got my f**k**g son d**k sucked,” he added. “You f**k**g right. Yes, a grown woman, grown, super grown … checked his a** out. Checked all my nephews out, super grown. Is she grown? She check me out. I know what the f**k she did to them, she checked me out, that b***h. I’m getting them prepared, man.”
