On December 12-13, 2014, The International-Coalition for African Fashion (I-CAF) will host a second pop-up shop weekend to promote African and African-inspired fashion.
Encouraging all to “Give the Gift of African Fashion,” the Afri-Pop Shop will include a two-day weekend filled with designer meet-and-greets, brand introductions, a social mixer, and interactive shopping experience. A few of the vendors featured include women’s and men’s clothing line Busayo, men’s accessories b yMaki & Mpho, and organic, handmade jewelry by Akakpo and much more.
The schedule of events will include interviews with creative designers and brand representatives, presentations of select samples, and a networking party on Friday, December 12th at 10pm at Meridian 23 located at 161 West 23rd Street, New York, NY. I-CAF is excited to have African Prints in Fashion (APiF) and Face2Face Africa co-host the festivities.
On Saturday, December 13th the Pop-Up Shop, featuring ready-to-wear designs from over 10 labels, will take place at Leisure Life NYC located at 559 Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn, New York from noon to 9pm.
