Top star Cardi B will receive a prestigious award next month, which will add to her long list of awards and recognitions in the industry.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has planned to decorate the star with the ASCAP ‘Voice of the Culture’ Award.
She first received the award in 2020 as the first woman in the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Songwriter of the Year Award category.

The singer also won other accolades from ASCAP during the period, including eight ASCAP Pop Music Awards and 23 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.
Organizers say the ASCAP ‘Voice of the Culture’ Award is presented to ASCAP members who have had a major influence on music and culture to recognize their success as creators and change makers.
“Cardi B has left an indelible mark on the culture of hip-hop by redefining and challenging the norms for women.

“Having broken through countless barriers with her unapologetic authenticity and talent, she continues to use her voice to advocate for and inspire others, a true testament to her undeniable impact.
“We are proud to present Cardi B with this year’s ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award,” Paul Williams, Chairman of the Board and President of ASCAP was quoted.
The hosts say Cardi will receive the award at a private, invitation-only event celebrating ASCAP’s top hip-hop, R&B, and gospel songwriters on Sunday, June 8th, in Los Angeles.

Last month, Cardi B said she was preparing to release her second album. In an interaction with her followers on X Spaces on Monday, March 31, she highlighted some aspects of the project but did not provide the title.
The mother of three said there were not too many guest artistes on the album; however, “the features on my album are really good.”
“I’m working with artists, some that I have worked [with] before and some that I haven’t worked [with] before…I feel like it’s gonna really, really surprise y’all…And it’s such a vibe.

“I could tell you this – I’m 100 percent confident with this album…I just don’t think what I got is out there,” she added.
Her second album would follow her 2018 Invasion of Privacy compilation, which won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
