Cardi B in a recent post on X [formerly Twitter] said she’s relieved she no longer has to hide her pregnancy. As previously reported on Face2Face Africa, the award-winning rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, announced she was expecting her third child in an Instagram post on Thursday, August 1.
“I’m so happy y’all know that I’m 🤰🏻 now I can stop wearing those deum [sic] school girl skirts lmaoooooo 😂 😂,” Cardi posted on X about finally making the world know she’s pregnant.
She has been seen in a schoolgirl skirt over the past several months. In April, she posted a brown plaid one and on Mother’s Day, she was seen in an Instagram photo holding hands with her daughter Kulture, 6, while wearing a mini skirt.

Besides her pregnancy, the Invasion of Privacy rapper also has a lot going on in her life at the moment. Per TMZ, Cardi B has also filed for divorce from her estranged husband Offset, and is additionally seeking primary custody of their two children.
Cardi B and Offset, 32, became romantically involved in 2017 before they got engaged and married secretly that same year. The couple, who have had a tumultuous relationship, share a daughter, Kulture, 6, and a son, Wave, 2. The Associated Press also reported that the I Like It rapper’s third pregnancy is also with Offset.
Sources additionally told the news outlet that Cardi B’s divorce filing is “not based on any one particular incident” as it has “been a long time coming and is amicable.” Sources also told TMZ that the pair have been “disconnected from each other” for a very long while.
And Cardi B dropped hints about their relationship taking a nosedive in December. “You know when you just out grow relationships … I’m tired of protecting peoples feelings … I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!” she said in one of her social media posts.
The sources also said that though Cardi B and Offset tried to patch things up, their disconnection aggravated. This is the second time the Bongos rapper has filed for divorce from the former Migos member.
She filed her first divorce in September 2020 over allegations of Offset cheating on her. The couple, however, later patched things up and called off their divorce.
