Samba

Samba is widely described as an Afro-Brazilian dance, although it comprises music too. The name of this music and dance comes from semba, an Angolan word.

According to Hiram da Costa Araujo, a researcher, Samba was the dance of slaves in Bahia, Brazil.

But in recent times, Samba is widely popular among Latinx communities in South and Central America.
