Music mogul and entrepreneur, Diddy has no plans to accept a plea deal in his ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering case, according to his attorney Marc Agnifilo.

In an exclusive interview for the new Tubi documentary The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Agnifilo clarified that his client remains steadfast in his fight for innocence.

In a statement released on September 28, Agnifilo emphasized that while Diddy, who has just been removed from suicide watch, ultimately makes the decision, a plea bargain is unlikely to be considered.

He explained that the Bad Boy Records founder firmly believes in his innocence and feels a strong sense of responsibility to not only defend himself but also to set an example for others who may feel unfairly targeted by the justice system.

Diddy’s attorney underscored the importance of this case, framing it as a moment that could challenge the status quo.

Agnifilo said the music mogul is motivated by more than just clearing his name; he sees the trial as an opportunity to inspire others, especially Black men, by showing that victory against the federal government is possible in a high-profile legal battle.

This defiance comes amidst mounting allegations, including shocking footage that surfaced earlier this year showing Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel room in 2016.

Although the video prompted Diddy, who had initially denied Cassie’s claims, to apologize and even lost his key to NYC over that, his lawyer remains unconcerned about the impact this footage could have if Diddy testifies in court.

Agnifilo suggested that Diddy is eager to tell his side of the story and that the testimony would be deeply personal. The lawyer described it as a story not just of legal accusations but of love, heartbreak, and personal struggles that only Diddy can truly narrate.

Further, Agnifilo downplayed concerns over cross-examination, including questions about other damaging allegations involving sex trafficking and violent acts.
