Drake promised to pay for a fan’s mother’s cancer treatment during his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia. Drake spotted a fan holding up a note regarding his mother’s impending cancer treatment during the rapper’s performance at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
It said, “Mums Cancer Treatment.” The hip-hop artist then pledged to cover the full cost, regardless of how high it would be.

“I can’t ignore this right here,” he told the crowd, per a video posted on an X user’s page. “Everybody’s been pointing to this man all night. This right here put this sign-up, please, this is important… Make some noise for anybody in this world that’s fighting any disease, especially cancer that’s real soldiers — real gangsters.”
The 38-year-old rapper continued: “Let me tell you something, my man. I’m not even gonna put a number on it. Whatever you need for your mother’s cancer treatment, I’ma take care of everything for you. I promise you—anything.”
The Canadian rapper has expanded his philanthropy to Australia.
He gifted $20,000 to two fans in Perth and $45,000 to four OVO fans in Melbourne. He also promoted a pregnant fan to VIP status in Sydney, presenting her with $30,000 ahead of her baby’s arrival.
He even gave one fan $20,000 after defeating them in a game of rock paper scissors at a performance earlier this month.
In addition to his charitable endeavors, HipHopDX notes that Drake and PartyNextDoor’s “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” have officially dethroned Kendrick Lamar’s GNX from the top spot on the Billboard 200.
In its first week of sales, the album—Drake’s 14th to top the chart—sold 246,000 equivalent units.
Drake now ranks among Jay-Z and Taylor Swift as the solo artists with the most number-one albums in the chart’s nearly 70-year history.
